It all started with a Baby Stroller Subscription Business in the Netherlands.

circuly co-founder Nick Huijs experienced first-hand that rental and subscription businesses follow a high complexity, which normal e-commerce shops cannot cope with. In 2017 he launched one of the first baby stroller subscription businesses in the Netherlands after becoming passionate about the circular economy and „access over ownership models“. As the complexity grew and more companies in the same domain reached out to Nick, asking if they could buy what he developed to manage his operations. So, the idea for a software-as-a-service for rentals and subscription management was born.

Since 2020 circuly enables companies to offer their products-as-a-service instead of just selling them via E-commerce. In this way, we create further sales potential for our customers and, at the same time, bring sustainability to E-commerce by creating business models that thrive on circularity.

Our vision is to change the way we consume our products for good and therefore expedite the transition from a linear towards a circular economy.

We take the complexity out of managing and scaling subscription-based business models. From recurring billing and invoicing, customer communication, asset tracking and return management, circuly covers every part of the business operations to make sure not only the products go full circle, but so does the information. Automatisation and ease of use enable our customers to focus on their products and make sure they are kept in active use as long as possible.

By now circuly consists of an international team, with various experts in their fields working geographically spread out but digitally together. Regardless, circuly’s home base is Bielefeld, NRW. As our team, so are our customers all around the globe stretching from Norway to Kenia and the UK to Australia. Due to the flexibility in software and the right partners in our subscription ecosystem circuly is currently active across various industries, such as baby goods, (micro)mobility, consumer electronics, sports equipment etc.
